Welcome to pregnancy! Here are some tips about food safety during the pregnancy. Well....not all foods are safe throughout your pregnancy, you will see several issues you must avoid consuming:-

1) Unpasteurized products

Cheese - you can find some which might be potentially harmful to a pregnant mum because of the bacterium. Keep away from both pasteurised and unpasteurised soft cheeses like Brie, Camembert and Danish Blue.

Also avoid cheeses like Gouda, Post Salut which coated in wax. And it’s good to stay away from most of blue cheeses like Stilton, Gorgonzola and Roquefort. However, some cheeses like Cheddar and Parmesan are in safe category. And also for softer cheeses comprised of pasteurised milk including Cottage cheese, mozzarella, ricotta, processed cheese and cheese spreads.

Avoid also all milk items which have not been pasteurised.

2) Eggs

It is good to stay away from any foods created with raw or partly cooked eggs like homemade mayonnaise, meringues, cheesecakes, sorbets or mousses because the salmonella bacteria are most commonly discovered in eggs.
However, eggs are simply secure if they well cooked. Shop-bought mayonnaises are usually safe as long as they've been created with pasteurised eggs.

3) Seafood

Avoid consume certain fish like exotic, shark, swordfish and tilefish because of the high in mercury. Oysters and any raw or uncooked fish need to be avoided. Also shelled seafood like crab, prawns, and langoustines should be ignored unless they have been thoroughly cooked and are hot. Fresh tuna should only be consumed once a month on account of the possible levels of mercury found within. However, tinned tuna comprises lower levels so this is secure to eat every week.

4) Meat

Don't eat raw or under cooked meat or poultry like sushi and rare meat. Also stay far from meats which have been preserved in nitrates including salami, frankfurters and luncheon meat. If you're buying a deli sandwich you can ask for them to eat the meat up somewhat due to the risk of listeriosis.

Constantly cook meat so the juices run clear and there is no blood within. Pregnant women also need to avoid from consuming liver because it contains vitamin A in the sort of retinol. Excessive amounts of vitamin A in non-beta-carotene form can cause birth defects.

5) Caffeine, soda and chocolate

In the occasion you discover this awkward you can to wean yourself off, but the less caffeine inside your system the better it's for the baby.
